The Savvy Caregiver Program:

To schedule an appointment with an Alzheimer’s specialist or for more information, call 1-800-272-3900 and ask to speak with the Alzheimer’s Association- Michigan Great Lakes Chapter.
Assistance for Caregivers with Loved Ones Who Wander:
Project Lifesaver/CareTrak is a radio-frequency tracking service deployed by local law enforcement agencies to help families find those that tend to wander. The Sheriff’s offices in Muskegon, Oceana, and Ottawa counties have been trained in using reliable radio technology to track individuals should they wander due to a medical condition. Please simply dial 2-1-1 for the number of your local Project Lifesaver/CareTrak Program.

Caregivers may access helpful pamphlets, books, and DVDs at a variety of senior service centers in our three-county area.
Now available: The Savvy Caregiver DVD series*. This 4-set series is specifically designed for those who care for a family member with a dementing illness such as Alzheimer’s.
